 Old Town Trolley Tours, our land tour, had already been operating in San Diego since 1989, when the idea of providing our guests an amphibious tour came from our CEO, Chris Belland. Chris went about to find a Hydra Terra vehicle that would serve as our sea & land vehicle to be used during the tour. Our director of operations worked out the entire business plan while at lunch at a local restaurant.
The name SEAL is a tribute to the Navy SEALS who train and are stationed here in San Diego. And, like in the Navy, the term SEAL, for us, is an acronym: SEa And Land. Plus, seals are cute!
