Museum Month in San Diego

Each February, in San Diego County, an entire month is dedicated to promoting our museums as the arts & culture organizations celebrate Museum Month. More than 45 participating arts institutions and museums in our county will offer admission at half price. The Museum Month pass, needed to obtain half price admission, is available, free of charge, at all San Diego County Macy’s stores beginning February.

AFFI Frozen Food Convention (AFFI-CON)

Meetings to be held in Solana, Seaport Foyer and La Jolla
Frozen food and beverage industry’s premiere business networking convention. Annually attended by over 1,400 industry professionals, AFFI-CON brings together processors, logistics providers, suppliers, retailers and food service distributors and operators from all sectors of the frozen food and beverage industry to conduct business meetings and learn about key industry issues. AFFI-CON’s business-to-business meetings and professional networking opportunities provide the ideal setting to meet new and existing customers over the course of four days. Various times for a variety of seminars.

Mardi Gras Run/Walk 15K/10K

Dance to the tune of the jazz band as you dash along our scenic waterfront course, then indulge in all the festivities when you reach the FINISH LINE! Earn the 2017 Mardi Gras Run Medal and celebrate with family and friends. It's a party for all ages, filled with funky Jazz tunes and carnival masks, and color everywhere you go!

Mardi Gras Parade and Celebration in the Gaslamp Quarter

There is a new day and time for the celebration of Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp Quarter this year, 2017. The celebration features a Mardi Gras type parade with live music, dancers, and beads in the Gaslamp Quarter, several stages with live music acts and an outdoor celebration throughout the Gaslamp Quarter. Participating restaurants and bars will offer Mardi Gras specials. This is a ticketed event for ages 21years and older. Admission: $35 - $60. Chelsea's Run

Chelsea King was an avid cross country runner who tragically lost her life while on a training run at Lake Hodges. In her memory, you have the option to run or walk at this 5K event. The event concludes with an awards celebration, refreshments, and entertainment.

San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering

EXPO Day is free and open to the public. Hundreds of community businesses and organizations will participate in EXPO Day in addition to over 60 programs and events that will follow throughout the week all throughout the county of San Diego. More than 75,000 kids, parents, teachers, industry leaders and community members are anticipated to attend during Festival Week.

CRSSD Festival

Waterfront Park, 1600 Pacific Hwy

The CRSSD Fest is a two-day, 21 and older musical festival that takes place at the County of San Diego Waterfront Park. The music festival includes three stages offering an array of live and DJ performances, a full selection of craft beer, and local food vendors from the San Diego area.

Spring Busker Festival

Seaport Village

A Busker is a street performer. Known for their unusual and comedic acts in Boston's Faneuil Hall or standing statue-like, painted in gold on San Francisco's Pier 39, these artists perform for tips in public venues across the globe. San Diego's Seaport Village hosts the only Busker Festival in Southern California. We bring professionals from across the country to perform their bizarre talents from sword swallowing to knife throwing to pogo stick tricks and juggling on unicycles. Throughout the two-day festival, some of the nation's top performers fill the bay front village drawing visitors to shop, dine and enjoy an entire day of one-of-a-kind entertainment.

San Diego Challenge

Downtown San Diego
The Challenge is a ridiculously fun “Amazing Race” style competition packed into one incredible day. Teams of two or more will dash around the city, racing against other Challengers for immortal glory (and cash prizes!) as they solve tricky clues, strategize the best route, and explore undiscovered corners of the city.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, participants are encouraged to wear an Irish-themed costume or something green. All can choose between a 10K run, a 4-mile run/walk or a 2-mile run/walk. There are drawings for gifts, awards in each age division, and a special award for the best Irish costume.

Annual San Diego Race for Autism

Autism is a developmental disorder that affects the brain's normal development of social and communication skills. About one in 88 children are diagnosed with autism in the U.S. each year. This event offers a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile walk. It's accompanied by an information fair and a kid’s zone.

Mermaid Half Marathon

1775 Mission Bay Dr.

Mermaid returns to San Diego's Mission Bay for a scenic women's 5k, 10k, and half marathon. The flat and fast course features beautiful Bay views on mostly closed roads. The Mermaid is ideal for both runners and walkers. Come out and experience the joy of crossing the finish line! Mermaids receive a stylish race shirt, finisher medal, and necklace!

Honor Ride San Diego

6:30am – 2:00pm
Waterfront Park, Pacific Highway, North Harbor Drive

Join a non-competitive cycling event where active service members, injured veterans and the general public all get to ride together. Choose a 20-, 40-, or 60-mile ride with a festival at the finish at Waterfront Park.

Hot Chocolate 5K & 15K 

Starts on 13th & J St. and Finishes on 14 St.
Golden Hill Park / Florida Dr. / Upas / Jacaranda / Pershing

The event is a 5K and 15K race that begins and ends at Petco Park and travels through downtown, Golden Hill, and North Park. Both courses provide a good workout. The post-race party contains pop music, hot cocoa, and treats dipped in chocolate fondue.

Rolando Street Fair

The Rolando Street Fair is a popular family festival for all ages to enjoy. There's a variety of musical entertainment, a food court, and merchandise booths. A special section of the fair is for children and youths with activities, bouncers, carnival rides, and its own merchandise booths.

San Diego Crew Classic (Rowing Regatta) 

7am - 9pm
Crowne Point Shores, Mission Bay

This is the largest rowing competition for eight-person shells in the world! Competitors (age 14-80) include collegiate, junior, and master athletes from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. A Trade Show accompanies the event with all the makings of a robust festival.

Ragnar Relay SoCal

Huntington Beach to San Diego Embarcadero Marina Park South

This is a long-distance day & night running relay race that begins in Huntington Beach and finishes in San Diego at the Embarcadero Marina Park South. Approximately 600 teams made up of 12 runners each will take their turns to run 3-legs of the 190-mile course of varying levels of difficulty.

An elite car show is presented at beautiful La Jolla Cove where guests can gaze upon historic cars and premier collections against a backdrop view of the ocean. This special evening VIP reception also presents pleasing music, tasty foods, delightful cocktails, and a special movie presentation.

Walk Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis is a disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system. Approximately 400,000 people in the United States have it. You're welcome to join other individuals, corporations, and teams on this walk. An expo area offers refreshments, live music, and merchandise. 7th Annual ACT Today! For Military Families 5K/10K Run/Walk & Family Festival

Tecolote Shores Park, Mission Bay

Join this event where the proceeds provide care and treatment for children of military families who cannot otherwise afford it. The event offers a 5K run, 10K run, and a 1-mile fun run for kids. It includes post festivities of music, beer, food, and inflatable jumpers.

City Beat Festival of Beers

Approximately 45-50 craft breweries are coming together to offer samples from a variety of homegrown beers. It's a beer lover’s paradise where you can stroll from booth to booth and sample your particular choices of beer. Food and music accompany the event.

31st Annual Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair & Parade

Linda Vista is celebrating the diversity of its community with a cultural parade. People are lining up along the streets to watch marching bands, marching groups, floats, color guards, and cars containing public officials. Earth Day

Set in Balboa Park, the 25th Annual EarthFair is the largest free annual environmental fair in the world. With around 70,000 visitors and more than 400 volunteers, the event features exhibitors, a food pavilion, kids' area, live entertainment, parade, art show and a "clean" car concourse.

Begins at La Jolla Del Mar Racetrack & finishes at La Jolla Cove

The La Jolla Half Marathon is race #2 in the Half Marathon Triple Crown Series, and unique challenge involving a trio of scenic Southern California half marathons.

March for Babies

6th & Laurel South Lawn / 6th Ave. / Balboa Drive North & South Closures

It's America's favorite walking event! When you walk, you give hope to the babies born too soon or sick. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies, and it funds research to find answers to the serious problems that threaten our babies. We've been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $2.6 billion! Join the more than 7 million people who participate, donate and/or sponsor. There are plenty of opportunities for day-of-event exposure, activation and education - not to mention opportunities to meet hundreds of others who are just like you!

Little Italy presents an adventurous art walk that showcases visual and performing art such as paintings, sculpture, photography, digital art, mixed media, music, and dance performances. Works and performances are displayed in tents and galleries along the streets. The Kids Walk is at Amici Park.
