40th Annual America’s Finest City Half Marathon

The Half Marathon begins at historic Cabrillo National Monument, with its majestic view of both San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean, follows scenic San Diego Bay and Harbor Island along the Embarcadero to The Star of India, winds through downtown San Diego, and ends in beautiful Balboa Park in front of the Hall of Champions. Starts at 6:45am. 5K Run/Walk - Fast loop course run completely within Balboa Park. Starts at 6:45 a.m.

San Diego Bacon Fest offers a variety of creative and delectable bacon-themed cuisine and beverages. Guests won't find vegetarian options at this carnivorous festival, but they can enjoy the many diverse ingredients incorporated into delicious bacon-based meals. San Diego's best distilleries and breweries also participate in this one-day event, and the cost of a ticket includes unlimited samples from every participating eatery, distillery and brewery.

San Diego Blues Festival

The San Diego Blues Festival offers great blues performances and raises money to feed the hungry. Guests can enjoy performances from acclaimed blues musicians from all over the country and abroad. Line-up includes performances from Los Lobos, Bobby Rush, Nikki Hill, Watermelon Slim, Bey Paule Band with Wee Willie Walker, Chris Cain, Billy Watson & Junior Watson, The Holla Pointe, Big Jon Atkinson. All proceeds from the festival benefit a local food bank, for which the festival has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars since its inception in 2011.

San Diego Brazilian Day Festival

With over 60,000 attendees expected, this is touted as the largest Brazilian festival on the West Coast. A free, fun and family friendly festival, activities include a street fair with over 150 vendors, food court, kids zone and carnival parade complete with floats. Music from Brazil is the sound for the day with 2 stages for bands and performing groups.
