SEAL Tour FAQs

How long is the tour?

The San Diego tour is 100 minutes total with approximately 40 minutes on land
and 60 minutes on the water.

Is it fun for kids?

Definitely! Kids love our unique and entertaining San Diego tour.

Will we sit together?

We board by FIRST TO CHECK-IN, FIRST TO BE SEATED. Please arrive early.

Will I see seals on the tour?

Maybe; but more likely, you will see sea lions as we travel near the bait barges in the bay along with many other sea wildlife. The name “SEAL” is an acronym for “SEa And Land” adventure tour.

Will I get wet?

No. However, a few drops of water could splash up from a wake.

Will I get seasick?

No. However, if you are extremely susceptible to motion sickness, you may want to take something for your own comfort. Our vehicle has a weighted, flat bottom, which allows for a much smoother ride.

Is your tour wheelchair accessible?

Seaport Village only: We have the ability to handle wheelchairs and scooters with a manual lift available at the boarding location. Go to accessibility services for more information.

Is an advanced notice required?

We request you call (866) 955-1677 for accessible available tour times.

What clothes should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a jacket because it can get cool on the land portion, as the vehicle is open-air.

Where can babies or toddlers ride on the SEAL?

Babies and toddlers can either ride in their own car seat or sit on the parent or guardian’s lap. Depending upon the age, a child could sit in their own seat.

Are food and drinks allowed while on the tour?

Food and drinks are welcome. However alcoholic beverages are not allowed under any circumstance for the safety and comfort of all of our guests.

Are dogs allowed?

Service animals are the only animals that are allowed on board the trolleys. A service animal means a dog, regardless of breed or type, that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a qualified individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. Animal species other than dogs, emotional support animals, comfort animals, companionship animals, and service animals in training are not service animals.
